Using evidence-informed and compassionate ABA therapy, we embrace the strengths and preferences of each Learner. We facilitate independence in a range of skills, by removing barriers to learning and encouraging learning through play. By working closely with families, educators and other care providers, we aim to strengthen the Learner's support network.
Our Approach
Neurodiversity recognises the natural variations in how individuals think, learn, and engage with the world. Our practice embraces each Learner as they are, without enforcing conformity. We respect and support each Learner's unique ways of communicating, self-regulating, and interacting with their environment — helping them feel safe, understood, and valued.

The following practices guide our approach:
Respect all forms of communication. Communication is more than speech. We support each Learner's preferred way of communicating, including non-verbal methods such as using assistive technology. We recognise that some experience barriers to spoken language, while others choose not to speak at times. Our goal is communication fluency, not forced speech — ensuring each Learner can express themselves when and how they choose, and in ways that help them effectively convey their needs and thoughts.

Support self-regulation. Every person has their own way of managing their sensory needs. We recognise stimming and sensory-related behaviours as valid ways to satisfy these needs, provided they do not pose a safety risk. We support sensory preferences, not mask them — offering tools and strategies to explore both preferred and new methods of self-regulation, in safer and non-disruptive ways.

Provide flexibility and choice. Learning is most successful when it aligns with an individual's strengths and challenges. We recognise that each Learner has different preferences, aptitudes, and processing abilities. Our goal is a tailored approach to teaching that minimises frustration — supporting Learners where they are, while building on their strengths.
