Flexible Settings
1-1 therapy sessions are typically provided at our Marsden Park clinic. Your behaviour analyst may schedule sessions at your home, school or community (such as shopping centres, parks) as needed. We ensure your child can engage in positive behaviours in their natural settings.

Play-based Learning
Spectra takes a play-based approach to make learning new or challenging skills more engaging. Your child's interests are prioritised and matched with their learning objectives. Playful exploration helps to expand your child's interests and skills.

Behaviour Management
Behaviours that pose a risk to the child or others are comprehensively managed at Spectra. A Functional Behaviour Analysis (FBA) is used to assess and evaluate the behaviour, then a Behaviour Support Plan (BSP) is formulated to inform interventions such as Functional Communication Training (FCT).

Communication Skills
Limitations in communication restricts positive social interactions and increases challenging behaviour. Spectra prioritises expanding receptive and expressive communication to help your child succeed in any environment.

Daily Living Skills
Skills for independent living from tolerating cutting nails to meal preparation, are taught at Spectra. We aim to strengthen your child's self-confidence and minimise aversions to necessary tasks.

Academic Skills
Structured tasks, often completed at a table are offered to support your child's transition to school, and their academic achievement. As with all Spectra programs, your child will be motivated to engage, making learning rewarding.
